Printing Case Study

Over a two-year period it is bringing in an extra 9,000 devices in the US, Canada, Latin American and EMEA regions. This is the largest global managed print services contract in HP's history and therefore it will only rely on its most trusted partners.
HP appointed Lupprians for the installation and deployment of 500 devices in the UK and 50 in Ireland. This four-month project involves a phased design approach across 30 floors and a range of Bank of America business units. To minimise disruption to HP‘s customer most of the deployment and installation work is taking place out of hours, at weekends and evenings.
Lupprians allocated a core team of 12 named engineers to this project, as well as project and administration support. The Lupprians team worked closely with the HP EMEA Programme Manager and UK Project Manager to provide services including:
- Storage in our secure, high-tech locations, with staff experienced in the handling of this specific type of goods
- Pre-staging to ensure that the printers function correctly and are configured to the exact customer configuration requirements
- Configuration using Web Jet Admin
- Transportation to site using our custom-designed air ride, high-tech vehicles all with full closure tail boards and expert crews
- Deployment of the devices to the relevant building, floor and location
- Installation of the device to the customer's requirements
- Floor walking to deal with any issues that may occur
- Training of users in the functionality of the devices
- De-installation of the old units
- Relocating of some existing devices including re-configuration and asset labelling
- Recycling and disposal of old units as required following WEEE legislation and providing a full audit trail and certificates of destruction
All these services are managed by the Lupprians CRM system. HP can access the progress of any of these activities via Lupprians Interactive. This real-time inventory management and tracking system provides HP with full details on how its installations are progressing. The system is also fully integrated in to HP's Quickbase system so that HP personnel can trace any item and quickly gain a full update on the project's progress.
